This wonderful handmade Caithness art glass Summer Meadow design Oriental Bowl is number 33 of a limited edition of 150 made in their Crieff Studio in Scotland. The Summer Meadow collection was designed by Colin Terris and comprised of just four pieces as shown in the enclosed photo of the 1991 Caithness product catalogue - I'm unsure why this was described as a bowl when it is clearly useable as a vase. It is a substantial piece, 5.5" (14cm) high, 7" (17.5cm) diameter at the widest point with a rim diameter of 3.25 (8.5cm) and weighs a hefty 6 lbs (2.725 Kg). There are a few minor surface marks that are only noticeable under close inspection but it is otherwise in excellent condition.

The bowl comes complete with the original presentation box and certificate of authenticity, the outside of the box is in excellent condition although there is a little staining to the satin lining. A super piece from a rarely seen collection that seldom comes to market, it will make a really nice addition to your collection or a lovely gift. If you have any queries please get in touch.
