Caithness Glass, Scotland'Sun' Paperweight. A very rare hand blown crystal glass paperweight made in Scotland by Caithness in 2010.

Depicting the Sun in the Planets Collection this is brightly coloured with reds and oranges. A large bubble at the centre when viewed from the front. The front face an the standon faces are flat within the spherical body.

This was issued in 2010 at a Limited Edition of 100 as part of a set of the Planets to commemorate 50 years on from the founding of Caithness Glass in Wick, Northern Scotland. As advised by Caithness please do not display this in full sunlight. Marks : Engraved in script to the underside. Caithness Scotland Sun 17 2010'. Presumably the number 17 represents the 17th of the 100 produced. No damage, repairs or restoration.
