Limited Edition vintage 1980's Yves Saint Laurent by Maison Gripoix glass heart flower bracelet in excellent condition. Marked Yves Saint Laurent this original runway haute couture. Piece Made in France is a true collectors item. Approximate Measurements: Length 25cm long 24cm closed and the central flower is 4cm x 4cm. Gripoix glass is not used in mass-produced costume jewellery it is used in high end runway haute couture designer pieces.

All Gripoix glass jewellery is made by hand. The technique created in 1868, artisans in France still make glass jewellery components using the same techniques.

Glass components made in this way can be found in jewellery made by Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, and Pierre Cardin along with other European couture houses. It takes a great deal of time and artisan skill to create a single design. A limited amount of jewellery also bears the Gripoix name, this piece is not labelled with such. This piece is signed Yves Saint Laurent in signature script style from the 1980's collection. The piece is also hallmarked Made in France and has a number ID, A2.
