RARE - Limited Edition Donald Duck 70th Anniversary Stained Glass Lamp - MINT CONDITION. This rare Tiffany-style stained glass lamp of Donald Duck and his 1943 "Saludos Amigos" co-star, Joe Carioca (the cigar smoking parrot from Brazil) was available only for a short time around Christmas of 2005 and has been in its box all these years! I've only opened it to inspect the piece and photograph it. This wonderfully detailed piece celebrating the 70th anniversary of Donald Duck shows Donald and his parrot sidekick singing and dancing while Donald shakes the maracas under a gorgeous palm tree. The leaves of the tree are detailed in many panels of brilliant blue and green stained glass.

The palm tree and the characters appear to be made of bronze or a bronze-like material (hydrostone or resin, perhaps) and the base of the lamp appears to be made of beautiful natural wood, which is unusual for Disney. The lamp is 17 tall, 10 wide, 8 deep, and fairly hefty.

It's in its original box with all original items, including the certificate of authenticity stating that it's from a limited edition of 1500. All of the features I just described can be seen in the photos Ive taken of the piece. In some of the photos, the stained glass dome may appear tilted slightly off-center. That's because Tiffany-style stained glass lamps have heavy domes that hang differently as you rotate them. When you set up the lamp, if the dome is tilting slightly to one side, just rotate it until its straight.

This is not an issue with the piece. This piece has never been displayed and comes from my clean, smoke-free, pet-free home.

There are very few of them left out there and even fewer that are brand new and in mint condition, like this one, with the original box and certificate of authenticity showing that its from a limited edition of 1500.
